David Lang started his musical studies in Hungary at the Specialised Secondary School of Musical Art in Pécs. Then he furthered his studies in Austria at the "Mozarteum" Academy of Music in Salzburg with Prof. Paul Roczek (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra member) where he obtained his Masters degree, specialising violin performance. David played regularly in various chamber music formations in Austria and Hungary. 1996- 2002 he was the leader of the Chamber Orchestra "CIS" and the Salzburger Mozart Chamber Orchestra (Salzburg, Austria). 2002- 2008 he was a concertmaster and soloist of the Liszt Ferenc Symphony Orchestra in Sopron (Hungary). 2008-2011 he was a member of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. 2011-2017 David was a violin teacher at the Schools of Music in Malta and Gozo. In 2014 together with Emese they founded the Echo String Ensemble which made up of their students.
Emese Tóth studied in Hungary at the Kodály Specialised Secondary School of Musical Art in Kecskemét then at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest where she obtained her Masters degree as a violinist and violin teacher. As a student she won a scholarship at the World Youth Symphony Orchestra in Interlochen (USA) and the 1st prize at the Weiner National Chamber Music Competition in Budapest in String Trio category. Then she continued her post gradual studies at the Academy of Music in Graz and "Mozarteum" Academy of Music in Salzburg. Emese played regularly in various chamber music formations in Hungary and Austria. 2002- 2007 she was a violin and chamber music teacher at the Széchenyi University in Gyor (Hungary). 2008- 2011 she was a member of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. 2011-2017 she was a violin teacher at the Johann Strauss School of Music and the Gozo School of Music. In 2014 together with David they founded the Echo String Ensemble made up of their students.

Jacob
Jacob Portelli studied violin at the School of Music in Gozo with Joachim Atanassov and  cello with Simon Abdilla Joslin. Later he also took up the double bass then the viola, studying with Guido Mamo, successfully obtaining a Dip.ABRSM.  His fascination with music has also led him to explore a somewhat unusual instrument – the psalter-bowed and plucked. Jacob also plays the harp, both the celtic and the Concert Grand Pedal Harp. He is the proud owner of two high quality instruments manufactured in Piasco Italy from the wordly renowned Harp Manufacturers - Salvi. He is in big demand for Harp performances in the Maltese Islands. Jacob is also a graduate in Theology, obtaining a BA (Theo) Hons in 2006, followed by a PGCE.  He has launched a CD of meditative music by the name of Palestrings, featuring choral Renaissance music adapted to strings. He regularly plays with different ensembles including the St. James Consort,  which is a baroque string ensemble which performs music from the great Baroque masters, on any instrument. 

At an early age Frank Camilleri, Started his Cello studies with Mro Valeriu Popovici. He continued his studies under the direction of Simon Abdilla Joslin..

Under his tuition Frank obtained the Accociate in cello plaving of the London College of Music. Frank played with several orchestras in Malta and abroad, to mention: The Brno Philarmonic, and the Mediterranean youth orchestra. In 2004 he was also chosen to form part of an

orchestra which has been formed for the EU celebrations in Finland.

In 2006 he became a full time member with the Malta Philarmonic Orchestra. He also forms part of the Cord ia string Quartet. Frank has had also the pleasure of performing as a solist in various recitals.

His appreciation and love for the cello will never cease.
